2.7* 10^11 protons was established at AGS extraction with the new warm snake on (3.8*10^11 at Booster input). The polarization measured at extraction porch is 44% with snake on and 1.1*10^11 intensity. This was measured with CNI polarimeter and all 4 ac dipole pulses on. Measurement at Ggamma=7.5 gives 77% polarization by E880 polarimeter.

1.9* 10^11 protons was established at AGS extraction with the new warm snake on (2.7*10^11 at Booster input). The polarization measured at extraction porch is about 18% with snake on and 1.3*10^11 intensity. The sign is the same as injection as expected. This was measured with e880 polarimeter and all 4 ac dipole pulses on.

10^11 protons was established at AGS extraction with the new warm snake on. The polarization measured at injection porch is about 70% with snake on. CNI polarimeter is very close to operation. Due to a bad electronics board, we have to run with 2 detectors (instead of 4) before next ring access.

AGS pp operation started on Feb. 26. 5*10^10 protons was established at AGS extraction. Booster harmonics 3 and 4 have been corrected. The asymmetry measured with E880 polarimeter at injection (Ggamma=4.5, lower than last year value of 4.7) was (58+-2)*10^-3, which is slightly higher than last year's asymmetry at Ggamma=4.7. This should corresponding to about 70% polarization. CNI polarimeter crew found noise problem. With an AGS ring access behind store, the source of the noise problem was found and will be fixed on March 3.

A brief update on installation: E880 polarimeter target box was installed with 2 carbon targets and one fishline target. Four Si detectors were installed for the CNI polarimeter. Sandro checked all signals and they are OK. Three targets (one 600 micro-meter and two 250 micro-meter) were mounted. The motor drive has been tested. The vacuum valves have been opened and targets survived. It took about two hours for mounting detectors and targets, two hours for pumping down. We may want to have a short access (one week later) behind RHIC store to install electronics in the ring.
